Processing & iPhone Geo-Tracking

Picked up a program called MotionX-GPS for my iPhone to play with tracking my neighborhood roaming. Its pretty nifty, managing to record individual GPS tracks and eat my battery all at the same time. Each .gpx file is emailed to a drop box at the end of the walk, and then downloaded and plotted whenever I please by a little Processing sketch I wrote. The images above are about two weeks in (15 tracks or so). I’ll play more with display part of the program after few months, when the extent of my aimless wandering becomes more apparent.

  1. That’s really cool. You should post the sketch.
